As a new type of pipeline, CPVC pipeline has excellent corrosion resistance. In recent years, it is widely used in steel, metallurgy, petroleum, chemical industry, chemical fertilizer, dye, pharmaceutical, electric power, environmental protection and sewage treatment industries. It is an ideal substitute for metal anticorrosive materials.
Due to the increase of chlorine content in the material, the irregularity of CPVC molecules in the structure increases (the crystallinity decreases, the polarity of the molecular chain increases), so that its thermal deformation temperature rises.
The use temperature of CPVC products can reach up to 93-100℃, which is 30-40℃ higher than PVC. At the same time, it improves the chemical resistance and corrosion resistance of PVC, which can resist the chemical corrosion of strong acid, strong base, salt, fatty acid salt, oxidizing agent and halogen.
What are the characteristics of CPVC water pipes：
1. Sturdy: Since PVC-C is stronger than PP-R, PB and PEX, it requires fewer hooks and brackets. PVC-C can withstand greater pressure. At the same flow rate, compared with PP-R, PB and PEX pipes, PVC-C pipes can use smaller diameters.
2. Easy to install: It can be connected using special fusing agent, and no special tools are needed during installation. It is suitable for both surface and concealed installation.
3. Corrosion resistance: PVC-C is not easily permeable to oxygen, so the metal parts in the system will not corrode due to oxidation.
4. Good flame retardancy: The oxygen index of PVC-C is 60, its combustion ability is very low, it extinguishes immediately after leaving the fire, will not produce fire droplets, and can suppress the generation of smoke and toxic gases.
5. Not affected by residual water: Unlike polyhydrocarbon pipes, PVC-C pipes are not affected by residual water and will not crack or collapse after long-term use.
6. Alkali resistance: PVC-C has strong anti-corrosion ability against both alkali and alkali, and can be used to transport HCL and NaOH liquids.
