Multiple Filtration Elements and Materials

  • Diverse Selection: ERA brand irrigation filters come with a variety of filtration elements and materials to adapt to different water qualities and application scenarios. For example, for sources containing more sediment, one can opt for filtration elements with larger particle filtration capabilities; whereas for sources with fine impurities or organic matter, finer filtration materials can be chosen.
  • Different Filtration Principles: The filtration principles differ among the various elements and materials. Some elements work based on physical screening, such as mesh-type filtration elements that directly intercept impurities based on mesh size. Others rely on adsorption principles, like those containing activated carbon or other adsorbent materials, which can adsorb organic substances and odors from water.
  • Adapting to Different Water Quality: In agricultural irrigation, water sources may vary greatly, including well water, river water, lake water, etc. ERA irrigation filters can effectively handle these variations. For instance, well water might contain more minerals and sediment. ERA filters can select appropriate combinations of filtration elements to first remove larger sediment particles and then eliminate smaller mineral particles, providing clean irrigation water.
  • High Standards for Golf Courses: In golf course irrigation, where water quality is crucial for healthy turf growth, ERA filters can select suitable materials to remove impurities, organic matter, and microbes from the water source, ensuring clean irrigation water conducive to turf health.

Multiple Precision Levels and Flow Rates

  • Precision Levels: ERA irrigation filters are available in different precision levels, which determine the size of impurity particles they can remove. High-precision ERA filters can remove very small impurity particles, meeting the high water quality demands of irrigation systems such as drip irrigation systems used in flower cultivation, where narrow flow channels necessitate high water purity to prevent clogging.
  • Flow Rates: These filters also come with different flow rates, defined as the amount of water they can process per unit time. In large-scale agricultural irrigation or golf course irrigation systems, higher flow rates are needed to meet irrigation demands. ERA filters can provide appropriate flow rates according to actual needs. For example, in large farm sprinkler systems, filters must quickly process large volumes of water to maintain continuous sprinkling; while in smaller garden drip irrigation systems, lower flow rates are sufficient.

Meeting Various Application Needs

  • Wide Agricultural and Industrial Applications: ERA irrigation filters are not only used in agricultural irrigation but also meet some filtration needs in industrial applications. In agriculture, whether it's field crop irrigation, vegetable gardening, or greenhouse flower irrigation, ERA filters play a role by providing clean water sources to prevent contamination and ensure plant quality.
  • Industrial Uses: In industrial applications requiring preliminary water treatment, ERA filters can remove impurities and provide water that meets subsequent production process requirements. This demonstrates the versatility and adaptability of ERA irrigation filters.
  • Adapting to Different Irrigation Systems: ERA filters can adapt to various types of irrigation systems such as sprinkler systems, drip irrigation systems, and mist spray systems. They ensure nozzle blockage in sprinkler systems, guarantee preciseness in drip irrigation systems, and provide pure water in mist spray systems to enhance mist droplet uniformity and effectiveness.

Automatic Backwash Filtration Technology

Automatic backwash filtration technology is an advanced technique that ensures continuous water supply while automatically cleaning itself, reducing manual intervention and improving the efficiency of the filtration system.

Filtration Process

  • Coarse Screen Filtration: When water enters the automatic backwash filter, it first passes through a coarse screen assembly. The main function of this component is to filter out larger particles of such as sand and leaves. The coarse screen has relatively large pores, typically capable of intercepting particles larger than several dozen micrometers in diameter.
  • Fine Screen Filtration: After initial coarse screening, the water reaches a fine screen, which is crucial for high-precision filtration. The fine screen has very small pores that can intercept smaller particles like minute sand grains and suspended solids. As filtration continues, impurities accumulate on the inner side of the fine screen.

Backwash Trigger Mechanism

  • Pressure Differential Control: During filtration, a pressure differential forms inside and outside the fine screen. When this differential reaches a preset value, it triggers the automatic cleaning process. This mechanism accurately detects screen clogging and initiates cleaning procedures promptly.
  • Other Trigger Methods: Besides pressure control, there are timer controls and manual override options. Timers can be set for regular cleaning intervals regardless of pressure differentials, ideal for stable water quality scenarios requiring periodic maintenance. Manual control allows operators to initiate backwash processes under specific circumstances like equipment maintenance.

Backwash Process

  • Drain Valve Opening and Pressure Release: When triggered, the drain valve opens first, releasing pressure from the main pipe assembly’s hydraulic motor chamber and cylinder—a necessary step for subsequent suction processes.
  • Suction Process: Negative pressure causes suction through nozzles to draw impurities off the inner wall of the fine screen into the hydraulic motor chamber via the suction tube, eventually expelled through the drain valve.
  • Comprehensive Screen Cleaning: Water passing through the hydraulic motor rotates the suction tube while piston action moves it axially. This combined motion thoroughly cleans the entire inner surface of the fine screen enhancing cleaning effectiveness before resuming normal filtration operations after several seconds.
Non pressure buried pipes"and"building drainage pipes"are two commonly heard types of pipelines. Non pressure buried pipes belong to the municipal drainage pipeline system, while building drainage pipes belong to the internal drainage system of buildings. The two have many differences in application scenarios, material types, design requirements, etc., which are listed here for everyone.
1、 Differences in application scenarios
Non pressure buried pipes: mainly used for underground non pressure water transmission or drainage systems, such as municipal rainwater and sewage pipelines. These types of pipelines are buried underground and usually do not withstand internal pressure. They mainly require resistance to external soil pressure.
Building drainage pipe: used for the drainage system inside or around buildings, such as the discharge of indoor sewage and wastewater. Usually installed inside buildings, on the ground, or in shallow buried locations, the main task is to ensure that sewage can be discharged smoothly and avoid blockages or other pipeline failures.
2、 Difference in pressure requirements
Non pressure buried pipe: does not withstand internal pressure, so it does not need to be specially designed as an internal pressure resistant pipe, but must have sufficient ring stiffness to resist external pressures such as soil and traffic loads.
Building drainage pipes: also non pressure pipes, building drainage pipes are often installed inside buildings or near the ground, which are susceptible to external physical damage, such as impact or external pressure during construction. Therefore, the design of building drainage pipes emphasizes impact resistance and compressive strength.
3、 Differences in Materials and Structures
Non pressure buried pipes: Materials such as cement pipes, fiberglass pipes, high-density polyethylene (HDPE) pipes, or polyvinyl chloride (PVC-U) pipes are commonly used. Some products adopt double wall corrugated structures or spiral winding structures to enhance ring stiffness and compressive strength.
Building drainage pipes: generally made of PVC-U, PE and other materials, with relatively simple structures, mostly single-layer wall pipes, but require good corrosion resistance to meet the long-term discharge needs of sewage.
4、 Differences in installation methods
Non pressure buried pipes: Non pressure buried pipes are buried underground, and when installing, factors such as the underground environment, terrain, and geology need to be considered. They are often installed by excavation or drilling.
Building drainage pipes: Building drainage pipes are usually installed on the walls, floors, floors, and other locations inside buildings, and require precise location prediction, layout, and installation based on the structure, design, and usage requirements of the building.
5、 Difference in service life
Non pressure buried pipes: Due to being buried underground, environmental factors such as soil acidity, microbial corrosion, and groundwater erosion need to be considered for non pressure buried pipes. The pipeline is required to have a certain degree of corrosion resistance and a longer service life (generally 50 years or longer).
Building drainage pipes: Building drainage pipes often withstand highly corrosive substances such as sewage and wastewater, so they also require a certain degree of corrosion resistance. However, their main consideration factors are still changes in the internal environment of the building, such as temperature fluctuations, water quality changes, etc. Compared with non pressure buried pipes, the design life of building drainage pipes is usually shorter, generally 20 to 30 years.
6、 Difference in Connection Methods
● Non pressure buried pipe: There are various connection methods for non pressure buried pipes, including rubber ring socket connection (HDPE double wall corrugated pipe), electric or hot melt connection (PE pipe), adhesive (PVC pipe), etc., depending on the type of pipeline, to ensure that the pipeline is not easily leaked after burial.
Building drainage pipes: Building drainage pipes usually have relatively low sealing requirements and are often connected using simple methods. Building drainage pipes are often glued together, making construction simple.
